Flashback and explore the “highs” and the lows of American Rock & Roll life in 1967

Oh the times they were a-changin’ alright by 1967! Something was in the air in the United States, and globally. In the U.S., it was a social/political/cultural shift, embraced mostly by young people at first. Social change was being fueled by racial tensions, and a break with the past by a new generation, who in many cases shared the politics and struggle of civil rights, as well as opposition to the Vietnam War.

The epicenter of The Summer Of Love was San Francisco, but there were other cities that shared the lifestyle and music of the hippies of The Haight. Also important is that the events of ’67 fell in behind trends and shifts in thinking that started in 1965 or ’66.

Markus and Ray go through that tumultuous and wonderful year, then dig deeper into the music that made it great!!!
